French, as an official language of Canada, has a very special position in the school system, be in core French programs, Immersion classes, and francophone programs.
The BC ministry of Education organizes its programs and examinations around the DELF exams and is in the line with the methodology we have developed for years in Alliance Française: task-based approach, communicative skills, and specific linguistic objectives. The BC ministry of Education officially recognizes the DELF exams and allow external credits.
Our classes are available afterschool at 4pm or on weekends. Each class is 2 hours long with a small break time after 1 hour. We offer
classes in-person or online for teens from 12 years old.
For online classes, we are using Zoom
We base our programs for French classes on the latest textbooks and methodologies, like the Adomania
method, éditions Hachette FLE. It is tailored for teenagers and fosters participation and provides the student with a range of written
and spoken skills to
communicate in various situations. Students learn to speak, listen, interact, read and write in French.
At the end of each session, teachers assess students and parents receive a certificate of achievement.
Audio files, videos, and additional exercises/activities are available online: https://www.adomania.fr/
